Changes in terms and conditions of Vueling passenger transportation due to coronavirus:
at present some countries have restricted non-essential trips: the current restrictions, other information and advisories on entering foreign countries for US citizens;

please note that entering many countries requires filling in the contact form (sometimes it is also necessary to get a QR code), providing the results of the preliminary passed  negative antigen (done not later than 48 hours before departure) or PCR test (no more than 72) for coronavirus and/or self-isolation (quarantine) with the duration from 5 (under condition of passing the repeated tests) and up to 14 days upon arrival in the destination country; you may also encounter complete restriction on entry for foreign nationals or the need to provide proof of vaccination/revaccination;

on flights to or from Spain, wearing a protective mask covering both your nose and mouth is still mandatory at all stages of the flight: only surgical masks and/or masks with enhanced protective properties without valve may be used when boarding / disembarking and during the flight;

the main piece of hand luggage can be placed in the hold at no extra charge, in the cabin you can take only a small bag, backpack or briefcase (40x30x20 cm).

! If you cannot fly for a valid reason (due to illness, surgery, court summons, etc.) and can provide supporting documents, the money will be refunded to you as a credit for the purchase of another airline ticket. With TimeFlex fare you can change your booking as many times as you want, again paying only the fare difference if necessary.

! Infants (children up to 2 years of age) can travel on an adult’s lap for an extra charge from 14.99 and up to 154.99 €.

! From 7th to 9th March 2023: One-way airfare from 12.99 € for flights within Europe, including the UK, Germany, Spain and France, for flights from 7th March to 30th April 2023

Vueling Airlines hand luggage:

theoretically, 2 pieces of carry-on baggage are allowed:
 
1st piece of hand luggage with the sum of three dimensions 115 cm (55х40х20 cm): at the moment passengers with the Basic fare baggage have to check it in or  pay an extra 25 € at the gate; you can also purchase in advance one of the following optional services: Space One from 20 to 28 €, Space Plus from 14 to 25 €, or Priority Boarding from 9.50 to 20 €, they all allow carriage of 2 pieces of hand luggage in the cabin.

+ 2nd piece of hand luggage, which has to fit under the seat in front of you: 40x30x20 cm

+ one additional bag containing purchases made at the airport

! From November 23rd 2021 under the Basic fare, only one piece of small cabin baggage (40x30x20 cm) may be carried free of charge, while a second piece will be charged at €25. For an infant (a child under 2 years of age) you can additionally check in 2 additional items: carrycot, stroller / pushchair. You can also carry in your hand luggage everything, what your baby may need during the flight (food, drink, diapers and so on max 5 kg).

Passengers with disabilities and special requirements, those needing assistance of the airline staff should contact the airline at the time of booking or not later than 48 hrs before departure (if there are less than 48 hrs left, you can still call Customer Service; less than 24 hrs - you'll need to contact the airport directly).
Passengers with restricted mobility may carry up to two mobility aids free of charge (see 15.5, Carriage of mobility equipment free of charge).more info

Vueling Airline excess baggage charges:

It's possible to book checked baggage items of up to 15, 20, 25 or 30 kg, max 1 checked-in bag of each type per passenger.

Overweight up to 32 kg charged €12 per kg.

Prices vary depending on the route.

The prices in the table below are in € per flight leg depending on the destination and date of the flight * at the check-in desk / at the boarding gate; from 90 € for passengers on flights to/from Algeria

Excess hand luggage will be placed in the hold, payable as the first standard checked baggage item purchased at the airport (currently €50 at the check-in desk or €59 at boarding gate).more info  

Vueling Airline carriage of pets:

Pets (dogs, cats, birds excluding birds of prey, fish, turtles, tortoises) carried in the aircraft cabin, can be booked with Basic Fare. The size of the container must not exceed 105 cm in the sum of three dimensions: 45х39х21 cm, the weight of the container (with pet/pets) must not exceed 8 kg.

! Animals are not carried on flights to/from the United Kingdom or Ireland. Won't be accepted for carriage: rodents, lagomorphs (rabbits), mustelids (ferrets), farm animals, birds of prey and reptiles. Certified assistance dogs can travel in the cabin at no extra cost, but Vueling must be notified either during booking process or by contacting customer service.more info  

Vueling Airlines carriage of special baggage: sports equipment, firearms and ammunition:

Sports equipment (such as skiing, snowboard, golf, kitesurfing, windsurfing equipment, sporting firearms, surfboards, bicycles) will be transported as special baggage for an extra fee starting from €45 per passenger each way (€55 at the airport).

Max weight per item of special baggage is 32 kg and max height — 2.7 meters.

Carriage of sporting / hunting firearms and ammunition (max 5 kg) requires prior notification and consent of the airline, standard baggage rules for sports equipment will apply: must be unloaded, suitably packed and have the safety catch on, weapons and ammunition must be carried in separate containers.more info  

Vueling Airline carriage of musical instruments:

Usually musical instruments are included in the baggage allowance (you can take your instrument not exceeding carry-on luggage allowance free of charge instead of your bag).

Instruments can be carried as special luggage in the hold (from €45 per case each way or €55 at the airport). Max weight per item of special baggage is 32 kg and max height — 2.7 meters.

When carried in the passenger's seat, the weight of the instrument usually must not exceed 80 kg, and its size must not exceed 135х50х30 cm.more info
