Changes in terms and conditions of Belavia passenger transportation due to coronavirus:
at present some countries have restricted non-essential trips: the current restrictions, other information and advisories on entering foreign countries for US citizens;

please note that entering many countries requires filling in the contact form (sometimes it is also necessary to get a QR code), providing the results of the preliminary passed (mainly not more than 72 hours before departure) negative PCR test (PCR test) for coronavirus and/or self-isolation (quarantine) with the duration from 5 (under condition of passing the repeated tests) and up to 14 days upon arrival in the destination country;

for all passengers over 6 years of age, wearing a protective mask covering both your nose and mouth is still mandatory at all stages of the flight: when boarding / disembarking and during the flight, passengers without protective masks are not allowed onboard the aircraft.

Children under 12 years receive an up to 25% discount on airfare (depends on the class of booking). Infants (children up to 2 years of age) can travel on an adult’s lap at a discount of 90% of the applicable fare.

Belarusian Airlines hand luggage:

1 piece of carry-on baggage with the sum of three dimensions 120 cm (55х40х25 cm)

+ additionally and at no extra charge, you can take small personal items (up to 40x30x10 cm and 5 kg: backpack, umbrella, handbag, briefcase, walking stick/cane, books, laptop, camcorder, camera, bag with Duty Free purchases and so on) For an infant (a child under 2 years of age), in addition to your hand luggage, 1 fully collapsible stroller / buggy or 1 car seat or 1 baby cot is allowed free of charge. You can also take with you baby food or baby clothes or other items necessary for taking care of your child during the flight. For a child not occupying a separate seat in the cabin, all the fares allow the carriage of only one piece of hand luggage weighing up to 10 kg.

Passengers with restricted mobility can carry in the cabin of the aircraft a cane or a pair of crutches (weight of the additional items not more than 8 kg). Wheelchairs are carried as checked baggage, the prior notification and approval of the airline are required.more info  

Belavia Airlines Checked Baggage:

One piece of hold baggage can not exceed 158 cm in the sum of three dimensions The luggage of a baby under the age of 2 traveling on the lap of an accompanying adult person is limited to 1 piece of baggage up to 115 cm (in the sum of three dimensions) and weighing no more than 10 kg.

Baggage of children under 12 years (or an infant with a separate seat) corresponds to that of an adult person.more info  

Airline Belavia excess baggage charges:

Standard piece of check-in baggage 23 kg, heavy baggage 23-32 kg, oversize more than 158 cm.

Prices in €, on the territory of the Republic of Belarus payments for excess baggage are carried out in Belarusian Rubles, for tickets sold in Israel — in US $, and in £ — sold in the UK. * For the first piece of checked-in baggage with Promo and Light (hand baggage only) fares, the fee is 25 €.more info  

Belavia Airlines carriage of pets:

Pets (birds) carried in the aircraft cabin. The size of the container must not exceed 115 cm in the sum of three dimensions: 55х40х20 cm, the weight of the container (with pet/pets) must not exceed 8 kg. The service fee is 50 € / 60 US $ / 50 £.

Pets (birds) carried in the baggage compartment, the weight of the container (with pet/pets) must not exceed 70 kg. Service animals accompanying persons with disabilities can travel in the cabin for free, this service requires prior notification and consent of the airline.

! Belavia will refuse to carry your pet to the UK (transporting animals from the UK is allowed).more info  

Airline Belavia carriage of special baggage: sports equipment, firearms and ammunition:

Ski (snow, water), hockey, golf, fishing, diving, surfing, tennis, squash, badminton equipment, bicycles (incl. tandem), rubber boats not exceeding 23 kg and 210 cm in the sum of three dimensions are carried free of charge and in addition to the corresponding free baggage allowance.

In the case of transportation of an additional set of sports equipment or excess of the permissible weight, 50 € / 60 US $ / 50 £ will be charged.

Weapons are not considered to be part of free baggage allowance and charged excess baggage, the weight of one set of weapons (including one container with ammunition not exceeding 5 kg) shall not exceed 23 kg:  50€ / 60 US$ / 50£.more info  

Belarusian Airlines carriage of musical instruments:

In the cabin musical instruments are carried in accordance with rules for free baggage allowance, you can take your instrument instead or ,after paying 50 € / 60 US $ / 50 £, in addition to your hand luggage. Larger instruments can be carried as special baggage (excess baggage fee applies), in these cases the airline will not accept any liability for their damage.

When carried on the passenger seat, the weight of an instrument must not exceed 84  kg, and its size — 135х50х30 cm.more info
