Changes in terms and conditions of ITA Airways passenger transportation due to coronavirus:
at present some countries have restricted non-essential trips: the current restrictions, other information and advisories on entering foreign countries for US citizens;

please note that entering many countries requires filling in the contact form (sometimes it is also necessary to get a QR code), providing the results of the preliminary passed negative antigen (done not later than 48 hours before departure) or PCR test (no more than 72) for coronavirus and/or self-isolation (quarantine) with the duration from 5 (under condition of passing the repeated tests) and up to 14 days upon arrival in the destination country; you may also encounter complete restriction on entry for foreign nationals or the need to provide proof of vaccination/revaccination;

Medical masks covering the nose and mouth are mandatory for all passengers over 6 years of age during all phases of the flight: boarding/disembarking and during the flight. FFP2/KN95/N95 masks are allowed at the rate of one mask per approximately 4 hours of flight.

Passengers under 15 years (on international flights) are considered to be children. Collapsible strollers can be carried free of charge for children under 11 (?) years of age. For babies (children under 2 years) traveling on the lap of an accompanying person: hand luggage is not allowed, but for them you can take a piece of checked baggage weighing up to 10 kg, during the booking process it is necessary to provide information about the child. There are also special fares for children.

Passengers with reduced mobility can carry on board the aircraft free of charge up to 2 mobility aids (wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, other items and devices), however it is recommended to get in touch with the carrier not later than 48 hours before the scheduled departure. more info

Pets (dogs, cats and ferrets) carried in the aircraft cabin on ITA Airways flights. The size of the container must not exceed 84 cm in the sum of three dimensions: 40x24x20 cm, the weight of the container (with pet/pets) must not exceed 10 kg.

Pets (birds) carried in the baggage compartment, the weight of the container (with pet/pets) must not exceed 75 kg.

ITA Airways carriage of special baggage: sports equipment, firearms and ammunition:

Sports equipment weighing 23 kg or less on flights to / from destinations in US, Mexico and Canada is included in the baggage allowance. Sports equipment exceeding 23 kg is subject to applicable excess baggage fees.

On all other routes, there is an additional charge for any kind of sports equipment. An excess baggage fee must be paid for any objects exceeding 23 kg in weight or 300 cm in its three dimensions (length + width + height).

Small sports equipment: ski and snow, waterskiing, golf, polo, diving, fishing, fencing, tennis, squash, badminton, archery, kitesurfing, hockey, TCARE medical equipment, hangglider, paraglider.
