Changes in terms and conditions of Qatar Airways passenger transportation due to coronavirus: not relevant at the moment.

! Infants (children under 2 years of age) may travel on their parents' lap at a special fare for 10% of the adult fare, child fares (for children under 12 years) are available only on selected routes.

Qatar Airways hand luggage:

1 piece of carry-on baggage with a maximum size of 112 cm (50x37x25 cm or 20x15x10 inches)

+ one personal item such as a purse, briefcase or small backpack, a folding crib for a baby, a camera or binoculars, a jacket or coat, a small folding umbrella, a shopping bag from a duty-free store, items for comfortable travel and your entertainment on board: for example, a travel pillow, a belt bag, headphones and reading material; a pair of crutches or a cane, etc.

If you exceed your baggage allowance, you will be charged $35 for hand luggage on domestic flights and $70 for international flights. * For tickets from Brazil: 1 piece of carry-on baggage weighing no more than 10 kg (22 lbs)

For an infant (children up to 2 years old) one stroller or a portable crib may be carried free of charge. Baggage for children, including infants, who occupy separate seats in the cabin is the same as that of an adult; for babies travelling on their parents' laps, you may check in baggage with a maximum size of 115 cm (45 inches) weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs) on flights to and from Argentina, Brazil, Canada and the USA, and 10 kg (22 lbs) on all other routes.

Persons with disabilities and passengers with reduced mobility who require assistance from airline staff should contact the airline when booking their flight or preferably at least 48 hours before departure (by telephone or online).
Folding or mechanical wheelchairs, crutches, walkers, canes, prosthetics, and other orthopedic devices for passengers with reduced mobility may be carried in the cabin at no additional charge if space is available. If there is no space in the cabin, a wheelchair or other mobility aids will be transported as checked baggage in the aircraft hold. Each passenger is entitled to a maximum of two mobility aids. In principle, wheelchairs are not limited in weight, but their individual parts must not weigh more than 75 kg. The weight of other assistive devices is limited to 32 kg and their dimensions must not exceed 89x41.5x27 cm. Battery-powered mobility aids including  wheelchairs are accepted as checked baggage and transported in the luggage compartment of the aircraft.more info  

Qatar Airways Checked Baggage:

1 piece of check-in baggage on flights with piece concept (to or from America and Africa) must not exceed 158 cm in the sum of three dimensions. On flights with weight concept (all others) - 300 cm, in this case the number of pieces of baggage is virtually unlimited. The weight of one piece of checked baggage may not exceed 32 kg (70 lbs).more info  

Qatar Airways excess baggage charges:

Baggage items weighing more than 32 kilograms are not allowed for transportation. Each passenger may carry no more than five items or 100 kg of additional baggage.

If you pay for extra baggage on the website, in the airline office or through its contact center, you can save up to 20% of the usual cost listed below when paying at least 3 hours before departure.

For flights with piece concept:
between Qatar and Africa, you must pay $130 (460 QAR) for an additional piece of baggage,
on flights between Buenos Aires and Brazil $100,
On flights to/from Argentina, Brazil, Canada and the US, an extra piece of checked baggage will be carried for $250, and overweight from 23 to 32 kg (50 to 70 pounds) will cost you $75.

Qatar Airways carriage of pets:

! With the exception of falcons and assistance dogs on certain routes, animals are not permitted to be transported in the cabin. Qatar Airways allows the carriage of service dogs only on its own flights and only on certain routes, for further information, see article 18, paragraph 2 of the conditions of carriage.

Pets (domestic dogs, cats and birds) can be transported as excess baggage from most countries of the world for a fee, regardless of your baggage allowance. Animals with a maximum container size of over 300 cm (118 inches) or with a weight over 75 kg can be transported as cargo.

Falcon transportation will cost you between $115 and $630 depending on the selected route.

! Qatar Airways does not accept for carriage certain breeds of domestic dogs and cats that cannot maintain a normal body temperature and therefore have an increased risk of heat stroke if stressed or if temperature exceeds 21°C. Restrictions apply to the following cat breeds: exotics, Persians, dogs: Affenpincher, American Pitbull Terrier, American Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Bichon Frise, Boston Terrier, Boxer, Brussels, Bull Terrier (all breeds), Bullmastiff (English Mastiff), Cane Corso, Chow Chow, Dane Argentino, Dane de Bordeaux (French Mastiff), English Mastiff, French Terrier, greyhounds (except for pets, a maximum of two dogs can be transported as pets), Griffon, Japanese Chin, King Charles Spaniel, Neapolitan Mastiff, Pekingese, Pitbull Terrier, Presa Canario, Pug (all breeds), Shar-Pei, Shih Tzu, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Valley Terrier.more info  

Qatar Airways carriage of special baggage: sports equipment, firearms and ammunition:

Sports equipment: equipment for water skiing, fishing, waveboarding, scuba diving, wakeboard, boogie board or body board; skiing and snowboarding equipment, skydiving and paragliding equipment; golf, cycling, archery, hockey or lacrosse equipment, spears and other items can be carried free of charge within your free baggage allowance. If you wish to bring sports equipment exceeding yur free baggage allowance, you can pay in advance according to prices shown in the table below or at the airport in accordance with the standard fees for extra baggage (see above).

Surfboards may be carried within your free baggage allowance and only boards exceeding 300 cm for weight concept or 158 cm for piece concept are transported at the rates for sports equipment.

Sports equipment is subdivided into small-sized up to 15 kg and the sum of the three dimensions up to 175 cm / medium-sized up to 25 kg and 217 cm / large-sized up to 32 kg and 300 cm The fee for carriage of sports equipment for routes that do not include a stopover in Doha is $100 for items weighing up to 23 kg and $150 for items weighing up to 32 kg.

Weapons and ammunition can only be carried in checked baggage or as cargo. Advance notification and consent of the airline is required for transportation. Firearms must be unloaded and no more than 5 kg of ammunition can be carried.more info  

Qatar Airways carriage of musical instruments:

Musical instruments can be carried instead of your carry-on or check-in baggage items if they do not exceed the free baggage allowance.

The instrument may also be carried in a previously booked for it passenger seat, provided that its weight does not exceed 75 kg and its length is 120 cm. Larger or heavier instruments must be carried on at least two seats; a maximum of three additional seats may be registered per passenger.more info
