Changes in terms and conditions of Jet2.com Airlines passenger transportation due to coronavirus:
at present some countries have restricted non-essential trips: the current restrictions, other information and advisories on entering foreign countries for US citizens;

please note that entering many countries requires filling in the contact form (sometimes it is also necessary to get a QR code), providing the results of the preliminary passed  negative antigen (done not later than 48 hours before departure) or PCR test (no more than 72) for coronavirus and/or self-isolation (quarantine) with the duration from 5 (under condition of passing the repeated tests) and up to 14 days upon arrival in the destination country; you may also encounter complete restriction on entry for foreign nationals or the need to provide proof of vaccination/revaccination;

wearing a protective mask covering both your nose and mouth for all passengers over the age of 6 at all stages of the flight: when boarding / disembarking and during the flight is no longer mandatory on flights to / from the UK (still compulsory in Scotland). Usually, on flights from / to other countries, surgical or masks with increased protective properties without valve are allowed, one mask for about 3-4 hours of flight (unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer). Cloth masks, scarves and masks with a valve are generally not allowed.

Children under 2 years can travel on the lap of their parent or another accompanying person for a fee of £20, there is no discount on air tickets for children over 2 years of age.

Jet2.com Airlines hand luggage:

1x piece of carry-on baggage with sum of three dimensions 126 cm (56х45х25 cm) and the weight up to 10 kg.
! Airline can require to store your hand luggage in the hold.

+ Jet2.com allows carriage of a small personal item (such as handbag, laptop bag, bag with Duty Free purchases: you can bring alcohol on board but must not consume it during the flight).

Passengers with disabilities and special requirements, those needing assistance of the airline staff should contact the airline at the time of booking or not later than 48 hrs before departure.
Passengers with restricted mobility are entitled to additional baggage allowance for max. two orthopedic aids (including a wheelchair). If a manual aid weighs more than 32 kg, you should contact the airline, the same applies to battery powered mobility aids: you will need permission of Jet2.com and the aid must be used by a passenger with restricted mobility. The airline accepts a maximum of three motorized wheelchairs for transportation on board, so it is better to contact customer service not later than 48 hours before the scheduled departure.more info  

Jet2.com Airlines Checked Baggage:

Hold baggage by Jet2.com: additionally booked only.

There is no free baggage allowance for an infant (a child under 2 year) traveling on the lap of an accompanying person.
Collapsible pushchairs/ buggies, travel cots and authorized car seats weighing up to 10 kg (for all items) are not included in the baggage allowance, can be transported free of charge as checked baggage for any child or infant on the booking and can be used until the moment of boarding. These items are subject to space availability (they can be transported on another flight, and the carrier strongly recommends that they're properly insured). The excess baggage charges apply to items weighing more than 10 kg.more info  

Jet2.com Airlines excess baggage charges:

One passenger can check in up to 3 bags, 22 kg each (up to 66 kg). No checked baggage item can exceed 32 kg limit.

Pre-booked online: standard bag costs about £20-30.

At the airport: standard bag costs £45.

Recognized assistance dogs can travel in the aircraft cabin (free of charge), this service is booked by phone. Other animals are not allowed on board Jet2.com aircrafts.more info  

Jet2.com Airlines carriage of special baggage: sports equipment, firearms and ammunition:

Sports equipment will be carried only for a fee.

Fishing rods: £15.

For £30 you can take with you bike (up to 32 kg and 180x90 cm), skis & snowboard (up to 22 kg and 290 x 90 cm), other equipment under 22 kg and with max size 180x90 cm.

Windsurfing boards, surfboards, bodyboards, non-motorized bicycles must be pre-booked through Jet2.com call center.

You can save £5 by pre-booking golf, ski and snowboard equipment online.

On board Jet2.com scheduled flights, carriage of firearms and amunition is currently not allowed, even of sporting weapons (including archery equipment) and with an appropriate permission. For up-to-date information, please contact the airline's Customer Service.more info  

Jet2.com Airlines carriage of musical instruments:

Musical instruments may be considered part of your cabin (no more than 56х45х25 cm and 10 kg) or hold baggage (up to 180x90 cm and 22 kg  — £30, over 22 kg — standard excess weight rates will apply, max weight 32 kg).

When carried in the passenger seat, the weight of the instrument can be max 65 kg and it must not protrude more than 30 cm beyond the top of the seat.more info
