Changes in terms and conditions of Aeroflot passenger transportation due to coronavirus:
at present some countries have restricted non-essential trips: the current restrictions, other information and advisories on entering foreign countries for US citizens;

please note that entering many countries requires filling in the contact form (sometimes it is also necessary to get a QR code), providing the results of the preliminary passed  negative antigen (done not later than 48 hours before departure) or PCR test (no more than 72) for coronavirus and/or self-isolation (quarantine) with the duration from 5 (under condition of passing the repeated tests) and up to 14 days upon arrival in the destination country; you may also encounter complete restriction on entry for foreign nationals or the need to provide proof of vaccination/revaccination;

wearing a protective mask covering both your nose and mouth and medical gloves may be mandatory when boarding / disembarking the flight, if required by local authorities of the country of departure / arrival, but currently not necessary on board Aeroflot flights.

! Infants (children up to 2 years of age) can travel on an adult’s lap at no extra charge on domestic flights and at a discount of 90% of the applicable fare on international flights. Discount on air tickets for children aged up to 2 years flying in a separate seat can reach up to 50% depending on the chosen fare.

Aeroflot Airline hand luggage:

1 piece of carry-on baggage with the sum of three dimensions 115 cm (55х40х20 cm)

+ small personal items (umbrella, handbag, briefcase, books, laptop, camcorder, camera, bag with Duty Free purchases and so on*)
* incl. a backpack not exceeding the weight of 5 kg and 80 cm in the sum of three dimensions For an infant (a child under 2 years) a booster seat, a baby cot, a fully collapsible stroller / buggy (with measurements not exceeding 42х50х20 cm, placed under the seat or in the overhead locker) will be transported free of charge in the cabin. Bigger buggies / strollers are checked in with other baggage and can be handed down at the gate if required. You can also take diapers / baby food for the duration of your flight. For infants with a separate seat, you can also bring an allowed child car seat.

Passengers with disabilities and special requirements, those needing assistance of the airline staff should contact the airline at the time of booking or not later than 36 hrs before departure.
Passengers with restricted mobility may carry in the cabin free of charge crutches, walking sticks, walkers, rollators. Collapsible manual wheelchairs can be used until the moment of boarding the plane. Carriage of powered wheelchairs and other electric mobility aids requires prior notification and consent of the airline, they'll be handled as checked baggage items.more info  

Aeroflot Airlines Checked Baggage:

The sum of three dimensions of any hold baggage item must not be larger than 203 cm * With Economy Light fare no free checked baggage is included, with Economy Maximum fare you can bring 2 bags, each up to 23 kg

Aeroflot Airlines carriage of pets:

Service animals accompanying persons with disabilities can travel in the cabin for free, this service requires prior notification and consent of the airline.

Pets (birds) carried in the aircraft cabin. The max allowed size of a hard-sided pet carrier is 100 cm in the sum of three dimensions (44x30x26 cm), for a soft-sided carrier, it is 126 cm, the weight of the container (with pet/pets) must not exceed 8 kg.

Pets (birds) carried in the baggage compartment, the weight of the container (with pet/pets) must not exceed 50 kg. * Excluding Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea

Aeroflot will not accept for carriage as baggage (either in the cabin or in the cargo hold) the following animals:
brachycephalic (snub-nosed) dog breeds: Bulldog (English, French, American), Pug, Pekingese, Shih Tzu, Boxer, Griffon (Belgian, Brussels), Boston Terrier, Bordeaux Mastiff, Japanese Chin;
rodents (guinea pigs, rats, chinchillas, chipmunks, squirrels, gerbils, dormice, marmots, ground squirrels, jerboas, etc.);
reptiles (tortoises/turtles, iguanas, geckos, chameleons, snakes, lizards, frogs, etc.);
arthropods (insects, arachnids, crustaceans etc.);
fish and fish seed as well as other marine and river animals that must be transported in water;
wild animals or birds, large predators (not tamed pets)and sick or experimental animals;
animals whose weight together with the skipper exceeds 50 kg.more info  

Aeroflot Airline carriage of special baggage: sports equipment, firearms and ammunition:

Ski, hockey, golf, fishing equipment, bicycles and weapons not exceeding baggage allowance (23 kg/32 kg and 203 cm) are included in the baggage allowance.

Usually from November to the middle of May, a set of ski / snowboard equipment is transported by Aeroflot free of charge and in addition to the free baggage allowance.

One set of surfing or diving equipment can also be carried free of charge (and in addition to your checked-in baggage) at a certain time of the year on routes from/to Malé, Bangkok, Phuket, Tel Aviv, Colombo, Seychelles, Punta Cana, Cancun, Varadero, Cairo, Hurghada, Sharm el Sheikh, Havana.

A container with a single weapon / weapons and a container with ammunition are not treated as a separate piece of baggage, if their weight, together with any other piece of checked baggage, does not exceed the allowed weight. Otherwise it's included in the baggage allowance.

Aeroflot Airlines carriage of musical instruments:

Smaller instruments with dimensions not exceeding 135 cm can be carried in the cabin in accordance with the rules of baggage transportation in the passenger seat. Larger instruments can be carried as checked baggage, but in these cases the airline will not accept any liability for their damage.

When carried in the passenger's seat, the weight of the instrument must not exceed 80 kg, and its size can not be more than 135х50х30 cm.more info
