Changes in terms and conditions of SmartWings passenger transportation due to coronavirus

At present some countries have restricted non-essential trips: the current restrictions, other information and advisories on entering foreign countries for US citizens;

please note that entering many countries requires filling in the contact form (sometimes it is also necessary to get a QR code), providing the results of the preliminary passed negative antigen (done not later than 48 hours before departure) or PCR test (no more than 72) for coronavirus and/or self-isolation (quarantine) with the duration from 5 (under condition of passing the repeated tests) and up to 14 days upon arrival in the destination country; you may also encounter complete restriction on entry for foreign nationals or the need to provide proof of vaccination/revaccination;

wearing a protective mask covering both your nose and mouth is mandatory at all stages of the flight: only 2 surgical masks placed on top of one another and/or masks with enhanced protective properties (FFP2/KN 95 standards without valve are acceptable) may be used when boarding / disembarking and during the flight; children between 2 and 15 years old may wear one surgical mask.

On SmartWings flights, infants (children up to 2 years of age) can travel on an adult’s lap at a discount of up to 90% depending on the chosen fare.

For an infant (a child under 2 years), a car seat, a baby cot, a fully collapsible stroller / buggy can be taken on board free of charge. You can also take baby food for the duration of your flight (liquid food in containers up to 200 ml). There is no additional hand luggage for a child without a separate seat.

Passengers with disabilities and special requirements, those needing assistance of the airline staff should contact the airline at the time of booking or not later than 48 hrs before departure.

The service must be prebooked at least 48 hrs before the scheduled departure through SmartWings contact form.

Pets (cats and dogs) carried in the aircraft cabin on the flights of SmartWings. The size of the container must not exceed 100 cm in the sum of three dimensions: 43x30x27 cm, the weight of the container (with pet/pets) must not exceed 8 kg. The cost of the service is €59.

Pets (cats and dogs) carried in the baggage compartment, the weight of the container (with pet/pets) must not exceed 32 kg. You'll have to pay €119 to transport your pet.more info

Bicycle, scooter, ski equipment, i.e. 1 pair of skies including sticks or 1 snowboard and ski boots or 1 skibob, diving equipment - equipment necessary for diving such as pressure cylinder with accessory, one pair of fins, mask, diving suit, bathometer, etc. (the equipment for snorkelling, i.e. 1 pair of glasses, snorkel, 1 pair of fins shall not be considered the diving equipment), windsurfing equipment, i.e. 1 board with 1 sail and 1 mast, kiteboard + kite, surfboard, golf bag, parachute, paraglider, hang glider, fishing rod are all considered to be sports equipment.

Sports equipment is transported for a fixed price of €59 for a set of equipment weighing up to 32 kg, firearms and ammunition (for one item and max 200 cartridges) is transported for €79.more info

Airline SmartWings carriage of musical instruments:

Musical instruments are included in the baggage allowance. You can carry them instead of your cabin (if the dimensions do not exceed 90x35x20 cm and weight 8 kg) or checked baggage, but the airline won't accept any liability for their damage.
