Changes in terms and conditions of Azerbaijan Airlines passenger transportation due to coronavirus: not relevant at the moment.

Azal Airlines hand luggage:

1x piece of hand luggage with the sum of three dimensions 110 cm (55x35x20 cm)
+ additionally, Azerbaijan Airlines allows to take on its flights a small personal item (handbag, briefcase, portable computer) For children under 2 years traveling on the lap of an accompanying person: it's allowed to carry in addition to hand luggage collapsible strollers (transported in the cargo area of the aircraft), baby food, travel cots; in this case no hand luggage is allowed, but the baby is entitled to 1 place of checked baggage weighing up to 10 kg and not exceeding 115 cm in the sum of three dimensions.

Passengers with disabilities (including those traveling in wheelchairs), other persons, who needs assistance from the airline staff, are advised to contact the customer support well in advance. Item 12.1.9 of the transportation rules Carriage of special category passengers: For sick and disabled passengers medical drugs, wheelchair, crutches shall be carried free of charge, and they are not included in the free Baggage allowance.more info  

Azerbaijan Airlines Checked Baggage:

the sum of three dimensions of any checked baggage item must not be larger than 158 cm

! On Moscow(VKO)-Ganja, Moscow(VKO)-Gabala, Moscow(VKO)-Lenkoran and corresponing return flights, free checked-in baggage may not be available. All information about baggage is specified on your ticket. more info  

Azerbaijan Airlines excess baggage charges:

Standard piece of baggage 23 kg, heavy (overweight) 23-32 kg, oversized 158-203 cm.
Individual piece of baggage weighing more than 32 kg will be transported only as cargo. A standard piece of hold baggage purchased in advance is €10 cheaper more info  

Azerbaijan Airlines carriage of pets:

Pets (cat, dog, fancy birds) carried in the aircraft cabin. The size of the container must not exceed 115 cm in the sum of three dimensions: 55х40х20 cm, the weight of the container (with pet/pets) must not exceed 8 kg. Transportation in the cabin will cost you €50 and €100 on Baku-New York-Baku flights, charged per container and flight segment.

Pets (birds) carried in the baggage compartment on Azerbaijan Airlines flights, the weight of the container (with pet/pets) must not exceed 75 kg more info  

Azal Airlines carriage of special baggage: sports equipment, firearms and ammunition:

One set of golf and/or skiing equipment is carried free of charge in addition to the free baggage allowance.

All other sports equipment and outfit is included in the free baggage allowance, excess baggage fee will be applied, if weight / size is exceeded.

Weapons and ammunition are special items that are not covered by the free baggage allowance. The carriage of such baggage requires prior consent of the airline and charged at a fixed rate, regardless of other baggage carried by the passenger.more info  

Azerbaijan Airlines carriage of musical instruments:

Musical instruments with the sum of three dimensions not exceeding 115 cm are included in the baggage allowance (instead of carry-on luggage).
In other cases, the transportation must be agreed with the airline, and paid according to fixed rates, regardless of of other baggage carried by the passenger.more info
