Changes in terms and conditions of Eurowings Airline passenger transportation due to coronavirus:
at present some countries have restricted non-essential trips: the current restrictions, other information and advisories on entering foreign countries for US citizens;

please note that entering many countries requires filling in the contact form (sometimes it is also necessary to get a QR code), providing the results of the preliminary passed  negative antigen (done not later than 48 hours before departure) or PCR test (no more than 72) for coronavirus and/or self-isolation (quarantine) with the duration from 5 (under condition of passing the repeated tests) and up to 14 days upon arrival in the destination country; you may also encounter complete restriction on entry for foreign nationals or the need to provide proof of vaccination/revaccination;

wearing a protective mask (only surgical or FFP and for some destinations only FFP2 masks without valve are allowed) covering both your nose and mouth is mandatory at all stages of the flight: when boarding / disembarking and during the flight. Protective screens, shawls and scarves, cloth masks and masks with valve can not be used. Children under 6 years of age may travel without a mask.

! An infant (a child up to 2 years) can travel on the lap of its adult companion for a fee of € 25 per flight on international short- and medium-haul flights and for 75 € on long-haul flights. There is also a 20% discount for children aged two to eleven.

Eurowings Airline hand luggage:

For all fares including Basic: Eurowings allows on board a small carry-on bag (30x40x25 cm: it can be umbrella, handbag, briefcase, walking stick/cane, books, laptop, camcorder, camera, bag with Duty Free purchases and so on),

For all fares except Basic: it is allowed to carry an additional large bag with the sum of three dimensions 118 cm (55х40х23 cm) or 57x54x15 cm for foldable garment bags

passengers with a Basic fare can add the option 2 Cabin Bags + Priority Boarding for €10, which entitles the passengers to carry both small and large carry-on bags.

To children under 12 years of age (including infants without a separate seat), the same baggage rules apply as for adults. You may also bring a portable carrycot, a booster seat or a pushchair / pram (two items maximum) as check-in baggage for each child free of charge.

Passengers with disabilities, as well as those needing any assistance from the airline staff, are advised to notify the airline not later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure about the intention to use the services of the airline.
Wheelchairs and other mobility aids are always transported at no charge, but only on if the airline was notified about their transportation not later than 48 hours before departure and there is room for it in the hold of the aircraft, but the airline asks to book the additional service of wheelchair transportation at the second step of the online booking, add this service later online or call the call center.
Hand luggage that exceeds the permitted limits (larger than 55x40x23 cm or heavier than 8 kg) is carried in the hold of the aircraft for an additional charge per leg of the journey: €50 on short and medium-haul flights and €70 on long-haul flights, paid at the gate.more info  

Eurowings Airline Checked Baggage:

Usually the sum of three dimensions of any hold baggage item must not be larger than 158 cm. And though there aren't any apparent size limits, before taking a lager item read 8.2.1.3 of General Conditions of Carriage: for the transport of checked luggage, which is not secured in cases or other similar compact receptacles, we levy special surcharges. Each passenger can check in up to 5 pieces of baggage, each weighing no more than 32 kg.more info

Eurowings Airline carriage of pets:

Pets (cats and dogs only) carried in the aircraft cabin on Eurowings flights. The size of the container must not exceed 118 cm in the sum of three dimensions: 55х40х23 cm, the weight of the container (with pet/pets) must not exceed 8 kg.

Only one animal is allowed per bag and per person. + Animals must be carried in a watertight, closed, breathable bag (not a hard container) that they cannot bite through. No animals on flights to the UK or Ireland. Assistance dogs fly free of charge, but only one is allowed per flight (this is not applicable for flights to / from the US), so register your dog using this contact form.more info
