Changes in terms and conditions of Nordwind Airlines passenger transportation due to coronavirus:
at present some countries have restricted non-essential trips: the current restrictions, other information and advisories on entering foreign countries for US citizens;

please note that entering many countries requires filling in the contact form (sometimes it is also necessary to get a QR code), providing the results of the preliminary passed  negative antigen (done not later than 48 hours before departure) or PCR test (no more than 72) for coronavirus and/or self-isolation (quarantine) with the duration from 5 (under condition of passing the repeated tests) and up to 14 days upon arrival in the destination country; you may also encounter complete restriction on entry for foreign nationals or the need to provide proof of vaccination / revaccination;

wearing a protective mask covering both your nose and mouth and medical gloves is mandatory at all stages of the flight: when boarding / disembarking and during the flight (one mask for three hours of flight).

! Infants (children up to 2 years of age) can travel on an adult’s lap at no extra charge on domestic flights and at a discount of 90% of the applicable fare on international flights. Discount on air tickets for children aged 2 to 12 years is 15%.

Nordwind Airlines hand luggage:

1 piece of carry-on baggage with the sum of three dimensions from 90 (40x30x20 cm) and up to 115 cm (55х40х20 cm) weighing no more than 10 kg
+ in addition to hand luggage and at no extra charge, it is possible to take in the cabin small personal items (umbrella, handbag, briefcase, walking stick/cane, books, laptop, camcorder, camera, bag with Duty Free purchases and so on)

For an infant / a child, a fully collapsible stroller / buggy, a child car / booster seat, a baby cot (with measurements not exceeding those allowed for hand baggage, placed under the seat or in the overhead locker) will be transported free of charge in the cabin. Bigger buggies / strollers are checked in with other baggage and can be handed down at the gate if required. You can also take diapers / baby food (is only allowed on board in a sealed, unopened packaging) for the duration of your flight. For a child traveling on an accompanying person's lap, it is allowed to bring one piece of check-in baggage weighing up to 10 kg and no more 203 cm in the sum of three dimensions (except Economy Light fare: one piece of hand baggage weighing up to 8 kg is allowed).

Passengers with disabilities and special requirements, those needing assistance of the airline staff should contact the airline at the time of booking or not later than 48 hrs. before departure through special contact form.
Passengers with restricted mobility may carry in the cabin free of charge crutches, walking sticks, walkers, rollators. Collapsible manual wheelchairs can be used until the moment of boarding the plane. Carriage of powered wheelchairs and other electric mobility aids requires prior notification and consent of the airline, they'll be handled as an item of checked baggage. For charter flights cabin baggage allowance in economy and business class is the same:  1 piece up to 40x30x20 cm and 10 kg.more info

Free baggage allowance of a child under 2 years with no separate seat is limited to 1 piece of checked weighing no more than 10 kg with the exception of the Economy Light fare: in this case you can take for your child only one additional cabin bag weighing up to 8 kg.

For charter flights, checked baggage allowance is up to 1x15 kg in economy or 1x30 kg business cabin. For charter flights, checked baggage allowance is up to 1x15 kg in economy or 1x30 kg in business cabin.more info

Bulky luggage: an oversized baggage item in the table below - the one with sum of three dimensions exceeding 203 cm.

The weight of any 1 piece of baggage must not exceed 50 kg.

The prices shown are valid for purchasing extra baggage during 4 hours or less before departure, by acquiring it in advance (especially 36 hours or more before the flight) you can make significant savings. ! Nordwind Airlines carriage of pets:

Service animals accompanying persons with disabilities can travel in the Economy cabin for free, this service requires prior notification and consent of the airline (the number of animals that can be accepted on board is limited).

Pets (dogs, cats, canaries, and shell parakeets) carried in the Economy cabin. The size of the container must not exceed 115 cm in the sum of three dimensions: 60х35х20 cm, the weight of the container (with pet/pets) must not exceed 8 kg. ! If you pay for the transportation of your pet 4 hours or more before the flight, other rates apply.more info  

Nordwind Airlines carriage of special baggage: sports equipment, firearms and ammunition:

Ski, snowboard (from April 16th to 31st October), hockey, golf, fishing, diving / surfing equipment, bicycles and other sports equipment (all year round) with the exception of pole vaults that charged as oversized baggage, is included in the free baggage allowance. If the weight limit is exceeded, an appropriate fee is charged for the transportation of excess baggage.

From November 1 to May 10 on all routes (except flights between Russia and Vietnam, Thailand, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jordan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Jamaica), you can transport your ski and snowboard equipment (with total weight not exceeding 20 kg and packed in one bag) free of charge and in addition to your free baggage allowance on the routes between the cities of Sochi, Mineralnye Vody, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and between the Russian Federation and Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy and Spain.

Sporting and hunting guns and ammunition can be transported after receiving prior consent of the airline and only for a fee: 1 piece of special baggage up to 10 kg, domestic ₽ 6000 and € 100 for all other routes. more info

Musical instruments are carried as hand or checked baggage, according to your free baggage allowance.

When transporting an instrument in a passenger seat, its weight should normally not exceed 80 kg.more info
