TUI fly Airline Covid-19 and additional information:

Changes in terms and conditions of TUI fly passenger transportation due to coronavirus:
at present some countries have restricted non-essential trips: the current restrictions, other information and advisories on entering foreign countries for US citizens;

please note that entering many countries requires filling in the contact form (sometimes it is also necessary to get a QR code), providing the results of the preliminary passed  negative antigen (done not later than 48 hours before departure) or PCR test (no more than 72) for coronavirus and/or self-isolation (quarantine) with the duration from 5 (under condition of passing the repeated tests) and up to 14 days upon arrival in the destination country; you may also encounter complete restriction on entry for foreign nationals or the need to provide proof of vaccination/revaccination;

wearing a protective mask (FFP2 and surgical masks are allowed) covering both your nose and mouth is mandatory at all stages of the flight: when boarding / disembarking and during the flight.

! An infant (a child up to 2 years) is not entitled to a seat and travels on the lap of its adult companion for a fee of € 15 per flight on international short- and medium-haul flights, on long-haul routes 60 € for Pure fare and 80 € for Perfect fare.

! Please keep in mind that for the Pure fare free check-in is possible only online (airport check-in costs 5 €).

! From April 26 to May 2, 2022 33% discount on flights between Germany and selected destinations in Greece, Spain, Portugal: Corfu (KGS), Rhodes (RHO), Kos (KGS), Algarve (FAO), Madeira (FNC), Fuerteventura (FUE), Gran Canaria (LPA), Andalusien (XRY), Menorca (MAH), Cyprus (LCA) for flights from May 1 to October 31, 2022 with a free rebooking option up to 7 days before departure with Perfect fare.

TUI fly Airlines hand luggage:

In the cabin on Tui fly flights you allowed to carry: 1 piece of carry-on baggage with the max sum of three dimensions 115 cm (55x40x20 cm)
+ small personal items up to 35x20x20 cm (umbrella, handbag, briefcase, books and magazines for reading during the flight, laptop, camcorder, camera, outerwear, bag with Duty Free purchases and so on).

! If the hand luggage maximum weight and / or its maximum dimensions are exceeded, it must be transported as checked baggage and, if the free baggage allowance is exceeded, excess baggage fees will apply.
For children and infants: prams and pushchairs will be transported free of charge and can be used till the moment of boarding the aircraft. They'll be placed in the luggage compartment and you can receive them back at the gate. Baby food can be taken on board also free of charge, but baby cots are carried as a part of your free baggage allowance, so excess baggage fees may apply.

Passengers with reduced mobility can take two additional pieces of mobility aids (wheelchairs, walking frames, crutches, etc.) at no additional cost, only foldable wheelchairs equipped with non-spillable batteries can be accepted for carriage, plus one needs the prior approval of the airline. Disabled passengers and persons needing assistance of the airline staff should request this assistance through TUI fly service center at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure.

TUI fly Airline Checked Baggage:

The sum of three dimensions of any hold baggage item must not be larger than 190 cm (80x65x45 cm).
Children and infants (up to 2 years) with the Perfect fare of Tui fly are entitled to carriage of a piece of hold baggage with max weight of 20 kg. Passengers with Pure fare (including children and infants) can not carry any free bags. more info  

TUI fly Airlines excess baggage charges:

Maximum 5 pieces of hold baggage per passenger are allowed by Tui fly.
The allowed total weight may be distributed on several pieces of baggage among several passengers within one flight booking number.
A piece of checked baggage may not exceed the weight of 32 kg. Pieces of baggage weighing more than 32 kg will only be transported as cargo for an additional fee.

Hold baggage charges at the airport: the carriage of a piece of baggage up to 20 kg costs 120 €, 25 kg - 145 € and 32 kg - 160 €.

TUI fly Airlines carriage of pets:

Pets (dogs and cats only) can be carried in the aircraft cabin. The maximum dimensions of the pet carrier 115 cm in the sum of the three dimensions: 55х40х20 cm and its weight (with animal / animals) no more than 8 kg.
! Only soft-sided carriers will be accepted. Pets (only dogs and cats) in the baggage compartment on Tui fly flights: the weight of the pet transport box (with animal / animals) is more than 6 kg, the height must not exceed 83 cm.
! Pets can be registered via the service center during the booking or later by telephone. For non-registered animals, TUI fly charges a processing fee of 25 € at check-in.

Recognized assistance dogs can travel in the aircraft cabin free of charge, prior notification is required.
! Assistance dogs can not be transported to the UK, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Airline TUI fly carriage of special baggage: sports equipment, firearms and ammunition:

Standard sport baggage is transported free of charge within free baggage allowance (number and weight of items), no prior notification is required:
Sport fishing, golf, badminton, squash, tennis, roller-skating, snorkeling equipment, sports footwear, bodyboard, lifejackets*.

* Lifejackets must be registered.

The transport of bulky sports equipment is subject to a charge of 65 €, prior notification is required, the maximum weight of bicycles and golf bags must not exceed 30 kg:
mountaineering, equestrian, hang / paragliding, kitesurfing, pole vaulting, archery, waveboard equipment, kiteboards, kayaks / canoes, rubber dinghies, surfboards, waterskis / monoskis.

The transport of sports weapons and ammunition has to be authorized by the airline, you must notify the service center and provide the exact data (make, manufacturer, caliber and so on).

The transport of wheelchairs and disabled sports equipment is carried out free of charge, prior notification and confirmation of TUI fly customer service is required. more info  

TUI fly Airlines carriage of musical instruments:

Musical instruments are carried as part of the standard free baggage allowance (number, weight, dimensions):
Small musical instruments (violins, violas, piccolos, flutes, clarinets, trumpets, guitars) can be carried in the cabin instead of your hand luggage, their weight must not exceed 6 kg and their size — 55x40x20 cm.

For carriage of larger musical instruments in the cargo hold, prior notification and confirmation of TUI fly is required; if the baggage allowance is exceeded, a fee of 100 € will be charged.
When carried in the passenger's seat, the weight of the instrument usually must not exceed 80 kg, and its size must not exceed 135х50х30 cm.
