Changes in terms and conditions of Wizz Air passenger transportation due to coronavirus:
at present some countries have restricted non-essential trips: the current restrictions, other information and advisories on entering foreign countries for US citizens;

please note that entering many countries requires filling in the contact form (sometimes it is also necessary to get a QR code), providing the results of the preliminary passed (mainly not more than 72 hours before departure) negative PCR test (PCR test) for coronavirus and/or self-isolation (quarantine) with the duration from 5 (under condition of passing the repeated tests) and up to 14 days upon arrival in the destination country;

when flying on the carrier's aircraft to / from countries where local regulations require it, wearing a protective mask covering both your nose and mouth and medical gloves is mandatory at all stages of the flight: when boarding / disembarking and during the flight (for all passengers more than 6 years old, one mask for 4 hours of flight).

Infants (children up to 2 years of age) can travel on an adult’s lap for the extra charge of 31 €.

! Please keep in mind that for the Basic fare free check-in is possible only online (airport check-in costs 35 €).

Wizz Air hand luggage:

Small cabin bag: 1 piece of carry-on baggage with the sum of three dimensions 90 cm (40х30х20 cm)
Large cabin bag: 1 piece of carry-on baggage with the sum of three dimensions 118 cm (55х40х23 cm), transportation is possible for passengers with WIZZ GO and WIZZ Plus tickets, or with added services WIZZ Priority or WIZZ Privilege Pass.

Every passenger can bring on board also small personal items: a coat or blanket, mobile phone, reading material for the flight.

For infants (children younger than 2) you can take a foldable stroller or a small crib, a child car seat (if you've reserved a separate seat for your small child). You can also take on board an additional small bag with diapers, baby food and other items that you may need in order to take care of your child during the flight.

Passengers with disabilities and special requirements, those needing assistance of the airline staff should contact the airline at the time of booking or not later than 48 hrs before departure.
Passengers with restricted mobility may carry a pair of crutches, walking frames must be checked in. Only manual wheelchairs and dry cell, non-spillable battery-powered wheelchairs can be accepted. It's best to contact Wizz Air Service Center, especially if your wheelchair is not collapsible.more info

Wizz Air excess baggage charges:

Max 6 pieces of checked baggage allowed per passenger. The first 3 pieces can be paid for online and the rest at the airport. Online you can check in maximum 1 bag up to 10 kg, 2 bags of 20 kg, or 3 bags of 32 kg.

Wizz Air carriage of special baggage: sports equipment, firearms and ammunition:

Sports equipment (golf, ski, snowboard, surf, diving (with empty scuba tanks) equipment, jumping poles, bicycles) will be carried for additional fee. Transportation of other sports equipment requires a call to the airline information center to obtain a special permission.

The dimensions of sports equipment must not exceed a width of 1.499 m, a height of 1.194 m and a length of 1.715 m, and its max weight is 32 kg.

Fees for carriage will be 45 € if you book online or through the call center and 65 € at the airport.

Carriage of sporting guns and ammunition (max 5 kg) usually requires prior notification and consent of the airline, contact Wizz Air customer service for more information.more info

Wizz Air carriage of musical instruments:

Passengers who purchased the large cabin bag can carry musical instruments not larger than 80x40x23 cm (violins, violas, flutes, clarinets, trumpets, ukuleles etc.) with max weight of 10 kg.

When carried in the passenger's seat, the weight of the instrument usually must not exceed 80 kg, and its size must not exceed 135х50х30 cm. Seat reservation is possible online, "EXST" ought to be entered instead of passenger's first name and surname.

Instruments larger than a cello (e.g. double bass, harp, etc.) must be checked in with a “Limited Release” tag: Wizz Air won't accept any liability for damage to such items.more info
